Handle Overfill Properly to Ensure Patients Receive Correct Doses

We're getting questions about "overfill" of injectable meds.

This extra amount of solution is meant to ensure the labeled volume can be given...but it can cause confusion and inconsistencies.

IV bags or bottles (D5W, normal saline, etc) have about 10% overfill...but it varies depending on manufacturer and how much has evaporated.
